Medieval Fair will host its first-ever Food-to-Go Spectacular and Virtual Extravaganza April 9-11 in an effort to give a taste of the fair to those who look forward to making the annual pilgrimage to Norman each spring for three days of food, fun and family.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 11.
The Medieval Fair Virtual Extravaganza will stream live as a companion to the Food-to-Go Spectacular beginning on Friday with web-hosting assistance from Life’s A Fair. More than two dozen acts from your favorite fair performers will be featured over three days—from juggling and other feats of skill that will dazzle viewers with displays of dexterity and timing, to musical acts that will touch viewers’ hearts and make them laugh with songs you can sing along to in the privacy of your own home. Both the Arthurian Order of Avalon and the Society for Creative Anachronism will also present dramatic and educational content that captures the spirit and boldness needed for life in the Middle Ages.
“The artists and performers miss their audience even more than the audience misses them,” Eckart said. “This is an opportunity to for everyone to begin reconnecting and rediscovering each other after a long time apart.”
